Rococo Parrot Tulips in Jug

This is a larger work, large for me anyway. I love these tulips, they have lasted so well, 2 weeks plus. I painted the Irises first - which was just as well as they didn't last nearly as long.
The work is nine inch square. Working with all the whites was fun this time - remember back to the snowdrops. A splash of complimentary colour was added with the bright green napkin. The knife was done with about 5 brushstrokes in all. It was the last thing I did which is maybe why I felt more confident to just go for it!
I don't think I will paint much larger - I covered 2 palettes with paint mixes and used them all!

Sculpture - my latest thing!

Snow fell at a tremendous rate yesterday - we have 15 inches! It looks beautiful! Meet the new neighbours!
I was out all this morning sculpting away - it was such great fun! The old fella and his buxom wench! The wench's left hand is melting now unfortunately.
For once I want it to freeze tonight so they stay in residence for a little while longer!!

My Favourite - Purple

I LOVE purple, every shade, I love to wear it too - I even have a pair of purple glasses! I have a new purple beret!!
Am I glad to actually be painting again - I panic that if I don't paint every day I will lose my way! This work is not my best, but I'm PAINTING!!!!

News Update

Life has been pretty hectic lately and not much painting being done! This has to change.........
Things are going well with my coffee shop exhibition and on the back of it a gallery has approached me to show my work in their Christmas Exhibition! I am so excited as I LOVE this gallery, the look of it, the smell of it, the work obviously, just everything about it!Click on this link and have a look www.whitehousegallery.co.uk

I have been making new kitchen chair seat covers from a pair of crushed velvet curtains, knitting for my new grandson and having fun with my students as they progress on their artistic journeys!
I have to plan my advertisement for Art and Craft Trail 2013 Brochure, make more frames, and most importantly of all, start painting!!!!!!!
